TDC Filter can provide drift eliminator pads that are specially designed and constructed to meet the requirements of evaporative cooling mist elimination for gas turbine inlet air coolers and other demanding applications. Perforations, not saw cuts, are used to manufacture the panels to their finished air travel depth, eliminating burrs on the panel faces.
The drift eliminator pads are constructed of wave-formed, heavy gauge, 15 mil PVC corrugated sheets and extra heavy stiffener sheets (two 125 mil side and one 30 mil center stiffener sheets per 24” wide panel) with UV inhibitors added for sunlight protection. The panel is designed to interlock with adjacent panels to form a water-tight assembly.
Drift eliminators have been flame tested per ASTM-E84, Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials, and are rated at 15 Flame Spread Index and 745 Smoke Developed Value per this test.
