 Regular and timely equipment maintenance can prevent failures and production disruptions. Keeping
track of several air quality equipment pieces can be quite taxing, though. Varying cleaning and changeout schedules,
unfriendly part numbers, unforgiving dimensions, and underestimated lead times are nerve-wracking!
To relieve this situation, TDC Filter introduced Equipment Inventory & Maintenance Database service.
During a regular customer call, TDC representatives collect all the pertinent data as it relates to air filtration
and quality equipment, including unofficial, internal equipment names, collector type, number of filters, dimensions,
descriptions, last changeout dates, etc. Back in the office a custom database is created, reviewed and sent for
customer approval. All this work upfront makes equipment maintenance much less challenging to the customer. The
burden of responsibility is now shifted from the operator (user) to the supplier. TDC not only sends the customer
maintenance reminders, but also keeps track of regularly replaced parts and keeps them in stock. Order placement
is easy and fail-safe.
One of the first benefactors of this new program was an Illinois-headquartered well-known consumer goods manufacturer.
The air quality maintenance crew supervises nearly two dozen equipment pieces. TDC Filter provides replacement
parts for all of them, being a true one-stop-shop air filtration supplier. "The customer really appreciates this

and pricing up. Not only were we able to simplify the order placement process, and practically make it error-free,
but also we can now offer volume discounts to the customer." |
